The weekend was spent working on the bathroom, I have to give credit where credit belongs. Mr. Wonderful spent Saturday working on the bathroom and today The Baby Girl and I foo fooed it up. Not bad for a girl that is participating in a party for procrastinators and the party doesn’t end for about 10 days.
I picked my bathroom as my project, I think the words I used to describe the bathroom fit it perfectly.
Hot Mess!
I wish I had a ton of money to pull this project off, but you know folks I DON’T. I shouldn’t be doing a bathroom remodel or any other remodel because I’m trying really hard to save not spend money. This weekend I spent $12 on towels, I didn’t get the towels I wanted because the “pom pom towels” were $12.99 each…more on that to follow. In my original post about the bathroom I told the whole world I had nothing hanging on my walls….$2 later I have an original art piece created by The Baby Girl and little ole’ me. I will give you a just a little peek into what will surely be the cutest bathroom in town when finished.
Money Spent
Ugly Thrift Store Sign $2
New beautiful floor $50
Bathroom rug $10
New soap dish etc. $5.99 (ceramic and adorable…just wait….the whole set $5.99…I’m good)
Pom Poms $2
Glue $4
Paint $0 (used left over paint from another project)
Hope you enjoyed my Metaphorisis Monday Bathroom post, stop by Between Naps to see all the great ladies that are participating!
Oh yeah, remember the “pom pom towels”? We’ll talk about them next week.
The one thing I like best in your photos is the one thing you did not mention…the shower curtain!
CUTE and FUN colours!
Very nice. Everyone, it seems is trying to save money and you gave us some great ideas – thanks.
I think you did a great job and also like that you are showing your daughter that you don’t have to throw money at something to make it better. It is nice for her to learn that just because you want something doesn’t mean you will get it.
Necessity is the mother of invention and you “invented” a great space.
Hey, I got your panels done. They turned out good. I hope they are the right size.
