Do You Ever Picture God…

looking down here at Earth shaking his head and having a big ole’ belly laugh at us thinking we are in control?  I have had that thought so many times today that I decided to blog about it.  I have several situations right now that God and I are having a tug of war with.  I give these situations to him and 15 minutes later I’m taking them back again.  I decided instead of calling Tammy Brown and making her remind me of this I would look in the index of my bible and find some scripture to cling to and what a surprise I found the verse that I clung to over and over again at the lowest point in my life and you know what this verse really spoke to me?  The situations I am dealing with are just a bump in the road, maybe a little scarey, maybe uncomfortable, disappointment may happen, hurt might be around the corner BUT nothing absolutely NOTHING compared to what God has already brought me through.  I will continue tonight to search for peace and will remember the following verse when I’m tempted to let ol’ slew foot get the best of me….

John 14:27 (New International Version)

27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

About Michelle

I started my blog as a way to connect with other paper crafters and of course it has gone a totally different direction. I've been able to share my experience as a mother, my hurt and disappointments over not having a relationship with my maternal unit, my walk with God and how knowing Him has changed me and continues to help me grow into the person I strive to be......

So true Michelle. It’s amazing how much we think we are in control. We are not. Simply put. That is something I struggle with. But when I do turn it all over to Him..I’m so much more peaceful. I have a sticky at my desk and here at home that says Give it all to Him. It reminds me constantly.
