Celebrating Baby James!

Ok, I thought about just making your typical list with my 28 words, but what fun would that be.  We know I’m all about having fun. 

 

Welcome to Baby James’ Celebration. 

 

I know God personally hand picked Baby James to be mine.  I’ll probably never know this side of heaven exactly why, but I know in my heart that I was picked.

 

February is a horrible month for me.  I go thru the motions of celebrating Valentine’s Day, but this year I’m going to change that.  When I circle the number 14 on my calendar  this year, I’m going to look forward to a day that is all about love.

 

I’m going to buy candy for my girls, make cards for people who I know could use a little lift for Valentine’s Day.  My husband is going to get something sinfully sweet, chocolate and lots of it.  I’m going to talk to Mr. Perfect AKA Shane about doing something special for his girlfriend maybe a special date.   I’m going to say, “I love you” to the people I love and mean it.  I’m going to figure out someone who needs flowers on Valentine’s Day and deliver them myself, I don’t think I’ll do traditional roses.  When I kiss Mr. Wonderful goodnight on this love filled holiday, I’m going to do it with the knowledge that I didn’t exist thru another Valentine’s Day I lived.  I’m going to teach The Baby about the saint that is responsible for Valentine’s Day and because of this saint I don’t think this photo challenge would be complete without a picture of your local jail.  How many of you are going to admit to googling St. Valentine because you didn’t know what I was talking about?  (I didn’t know until I googled Valentine’s Day for this post…ha!)

 

So I hope that being challenged to find pics from this list you’ll add some romance to your life, figure out how to be cupid to someone, it doesn’t have to be about gifts, remember Christmas and the idea that so many of us had about handmade gifts, let’s keep that going with Valentine’s Day.  Our sweethearts will appreciate a gift made with our two hands much more then anything we could spend our money on.

Wednesday Blog Parties

Hi, I’m Doodle.

My mom says y’all might not know a lot about me.  That needs to change.  I’m the boss at our house.  My Dad (AKA Mr. Wonderful) tells me all the time that I’m a pretty pretty girl.  I don’t understand this whole blog stuff that my mom talks about all the time, but I’m learning because she talks about it a lot.

Mom says  if you want more blog friends you have to party with them.  I get confused when mom talks about partying with people and she is sitting on the couch in her pajamas, especially when the pajamas don’t match (like today she has flowered bottoms and a striped shirt). 

She told Dad this morning she has three blog parties today and she wanted to include all three in a post, Dad just shook his head.  I decided this would be a good time to jump up on the loveseat and snuggle in mom’s lap, she must have thought it was a great idea because I’m still laying on her.

Mom is still trying to figure out how to do one post and include What’s On Your Walls Wednesday, Works For Me Wednesday and Wordless Wednesday.  Oh brother, mom is changing her mind.  Now she says maybe today isn’t the day to do Wordless Wednesday, guess she’s used too many words.  I’m a smart dog, don’t you think so?

I wish I could talk because I would tell Mom that she could talk about how she does blog parties for Works For Me Wednesday.  She has a page on her blog where she keeps track of all the parties (if you know one she doesn’t have leave a comment, my mom hates missing a good party). 

Mom is driving dad crazy with all this blog party talk, now she says maybe she should party over at Rose Wednesday today.  Mom is making me wonder what kind of parties are happening tomorrow, oh no she must have had dad wondering that because he just ask her. 

Mom said Thursday has Teach Me Thursday (mom says if she ever got picked for something at Teach Me Thursday she would be so excited she would pee in her pants, mom is silly), Thankful Thursday and one of her favorites Paper Craft Thursday.

I wish Dad would just go ahead and leave for work, he’s getting mom off track. 

Mom says for What’s On Your Walls Wednesday she is going to start with her favorite thing, it’s a painting that mom and dad’s friend did of Dad and Baby James’ hands, mom hung it in the hallway because if she ever has to get out of the house fast she’s going to grab it on her way out.

Did I mention how smart I am?  Mom is going to use her blog party post for Works For Me Wednesday, that’s good because it works for me so I hope it works for you.

A New Year and A New Blog

I’ve known for awhile that I was going to start a new blog, I wanted something I could make more personal.  I will be keeping this blog for everyday life, the kids, work etc. my new blog will be used to promote my new adventure.

I have finally decided to make the leap and join Stampin Up as a demonstrator.  I will be signing up 2/1/09, they have a great special and I’m going to wait until then. 

My new blog is A Stampin Mama (If Mama aint happy aint nobody happy, and stampin makes me happy!)  I am having a header and a button created, they should be done in a few days…it’ll have a fun look so stop by and check it out.  I will be doing give aways, challenges etc.

I have a few New Year Ideas…no resolutions…just ideas…

1. Organization is my word for 2009, grace was 2008 and I have to admit that organization is not as flowerly or warm and fuzzy, but it’s what I need.  I’m open to ideas, suggestions, help of any kind.  My mind just doesn’t understand it and I know it.  I have found a fun blog Org Junkie and will be doing some challenges etc. at her blog to help me.
2. Continue to lose weight.  I ended up staying the same the month of December, which I’m ok with.  I didn’t gain.  I will be back at Weight Watchers on Monday ready to go.
3. Family.  I am going to spend more time with my family.  I am going to buy a new dining room table in February and I’m going to put it to good use with more family dinners, more family games, more family time. 
4. Dates with my husband.  We have one planned for Saturday.  We don’t know where but we are going out.
