I HOPE YOU DANCE

May 22, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This picture really captures “my girl” love the crocs with the ballet outfit!

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you’ll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance

Whenever I hear the above song I think about “My Lyssie Lou”.  I say it all the time, the kid has a great spirit.  Her soul is something special.  She truly blesses me every day.

She loves her Hip-Hop class.  We told her she looked like a Panda Bear with her two little buns.

These two remind me daily that anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a daddy!  I know God put these two together and I thank Him for it everyday.

Chapman Family Tragedy

May 22, 2008 · 1 Comment

My heart is just broken today.  Some of you may already know about the Steven Curtis Chapman tragedy.  His five year old little girl was killed in a tragic accident this week and my heart just hurts.  When Baby James died we asked Gary Hitsman to sing at his memorial service and Gary choose “With Hope” which is a Steven Curtis Chapman song and many nights when I couldn’t sleep I listened to those words to get me through the night.  Sherri framed the song for me and it’s in my scrapbook room and has really been a blessing for me.

With Hope

This is not at all how
We thought it was supposed to be
We had so many plans for you
We had so many dreams
And now you’ve gone away
And left us with the memories of your smile
And nothing we can say
And nothing we can do
Can take away the pain
The pain of losing you, but …

We can cry with hope
We can say goodbye with hope
‘Cause we know our goodbye is not the end, oh no
And we can grieve with hope
‘Cause we believe with hope
(There’s a place by God’s grace)
There’s a place where we’ll see your face again
We’ll see your face again

And never have I known
Anything so hard to understand
And never have I questioned more
The wisdom of God’s plan
But through the cloud of tears
I see the Father’s smile and say well done
And I imagine you
Where you wanted most to be
Seeing all your dreams come true
‘Cause now you’re home
And now you’re free, and …

We have this hope as an anchor
‘Cause we believe that everything
God promised us is true, so …

So we can cry with hope
And say goodbye with hope

We wait with hope
And we ache with hope
We hold on with hope
We let go with hope

Please pray for this family during what I’m sure is some of the darkest days of their lives.  On the official website for Steven Curtis Chapman they have a link to leave encouragement for the family and a cute video.
